Heli-Fishing and Hiking

Two days fishing. Two days hiking. Two incredible experiences in one trip.

Experience remote heli-assisted fly-fishing and guided heli-hiking over four activity days. Return to Crescent Spur Lodge each afternoon for après and a three-course dinner, with five nights in a private ensuite room and all meals included.

One Stay, Two Ways to Explore

The Heli-Fishing and Hiking Package lets you divide four activity days between fishing and hiking. A typical stay includes two days of guided fly-fishing and two days of heli-hiking, the same helicopter access that puts our skiers on runs no one else can reach.

Fishing Days

Your guide chooses the best water each day based on weather, water and fishing conditions. The helicopter provides access to remote rivers, mountain creeks and subalpine lakes, where you may walk and wade, float a larger river system by raft, or explore by jet boat or jon boat.

Guests fish for wild bull trout and rainbow trout, with all fishing conducted on a catch-and-release basis using barbless hooks.

Hiking Days

Hiking days may include alpine meadows, ridgelines, mountain lakes, glaciers, scrambling or light mountaineering. Your guide selects the route based on the weather, alpine conditions and your group’s interests, pace and ability.

All hiking days and combined-trip arrangements must be confirmed before arrival.

Does everyone in our group have to choose the same package?

No. Guests travelling together may each choose the package they prefer. For example, one guest may fish for all four days, another may hike for all four days, and another may choose the two-day fishing and two-day hiking combination package. Package availability must be confirmed for each guest.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the base package price, plus GST, is required to confirm your reservation.

Accommodation tax is charged with the final payment.

Final payment is due 12 weeks before arrival. The remaining balance of $5,374 CAD, including accommodation tax, is due at that time.

Our standard packages include four activity days and five nights at the lodge. Longer stays may be arranged in advance, while shorter stays are generally considered closer to the departure date as space permits.

Yes. Many guests travel on their own. We pair individual anglers with another guest of similar experience and fishing style whenever possible.

We provide rods, tackle, personal flotation devices, landing nets, wading staffs, a waterproof backpack and a water bottle. Guests should bring their own stocking-foot waders and dedicated wading boots. For hiking we provide backpacks, water bottles and hiking staffs.
