Heli Skiing Terrain

Northern Rockies and Cariboo Terrain

Our 3,900-square-kilometre tenure spans two mountain ranges and includes more than 300 named runs, from open alpine bowls and expansive glaciers to treed slopes and naturally gladed forests.

More Terrain to Choose From

Conditions can differ significantly between the Northern Rockies and the Cariboo Mountains. Access to both ranges gives our guides more options when assessing snow, weather, visibility and flying conditions each morning. Terrain choices are made daily and may change throughout the day as conditions evolve.

Runs range from approximately 450 to 1,200 vertical metres. Most groups ski 8 to 12 runs per day, with the total depending on conditions, terrain, daylight and the time required to move safely through the mountains.

Early Winter

Early-winter snowfall builds a deep base and often brings excellent skiing in our extensive forest terrain. These weeks can offer cold temperatures, deep snow and shorter days.

Mid-Winter

Mid-winter offers a broad mix of treed and alpine terrain when weather and visibility allow. Storms can deliver significant new snow, and the guides choose terrain based on the conditions of the day.

Spring

Longer days can create more opportunities to explore alpine and glacier terrain. Spring storms often arrive, leave fresh snow and move through, while shaded northern aspects can continue to hold dry powder.

Mountain weather is variable in every part of the season. No terrain type, snow condition or number of runs can be guaranteed.
